Melbourne Italian Festa. Note that Food Trader replaces the old Streat Trader registrations. This needs to be
completed by Friday 20th September 2024.
Please follow this link https://foodtrader.vic.gov.au/user-guide/statements-of-trade/#section-1 for
instructions to register, or contact Food Trader direct via their website with any questions.
Note that if you have multiple stalls (i.e – if you have one inside and one outside) you will need to register each stall separately.
Follow this link to the FoodTrader guidelines document to ensure your stand is compliant and that you meet
all their requirements:
Cooking Equipment & LPGas
Note that if you are operating a BBQ or pizza oven these need to be placed under your marquee, or in a separate fenced off area.
This is a safety issue and City of Melbourne health will not approve your stand if this is not addressed. Contact us to make any arrangements if you are unsure.
Please notify us if you are using LPG by 20th September 2024. Ensure all gas appliances and bottles are
tested and in date. If you are planning to use gas, check out the code of practice for safe use of LPG at
events by clicking on the link. Note that each marquee with LPgas is not permitted to have more than
60kg of 15kg cylinder size bottles = 4 LPgas bottles at any one time. Note that council and safety officers
will be on duty checking all stalls.
Note that if you are planning to cook inside Royal Exhibition Building, this needs prior approval from Museums Victoria. Please notify with info of what cooking equipment you intend to use by 20th September 2024. Use of LPGas is not permitted inside REB.
Power - URGENT
Note that all stands come with a 10amp outlet. If you require additional power for your stand (in addition to the standard 10amp) please contact our electrician asap – details below, or complete and send the electrical order form back to CRP Electrical. Additional power will need to be ordered by Friday 20th September 2024. Please note that all your electrical items need to be tested and tagged. If you are unsure, please speak to our electrician to arrange. CRP Electrical will have a counter inside REB for any queries, & for test/tag of your electrical items.
